SkyWars Duels is a competitive Duels gamemode inspired by the other Hypixel minigame, SkyWars. It uses the kits from the various SkyWars modes. It was first released to the Prototype Lobby with the Duels v0.5 update on December 11, 2017[1] and fully introduced with the release of the official v1.0 Duels lobby on March 2, 2018.[2]
Depending on the mode, either two players fight in a 1v1 duel or four fight in a 2v2 duel. Before the game begins, players can select a kit, which come from the Mini (known as "Ranked" in SkyWars Duels), Insane, and Normal SkyWars modes. Besides the kit items, no other items are given; gear can be looted from chests around the map. Players must kill their opponent to win.
SkyWars Duels does not have a border like other Duels modes. Games are limited to eight minutes. If nobody wins after the time is up, the duel is a draw.
